“You…you mustn’t stare at me like that.” Soft as the murmur was, he caught it. “With you here, nothing else is worth looking at.” - Annabelle and Simon
⭐⭐⭐⭐💫

Personal Thoughts
I really enjoyed this one.
The relationship between our main characters was quite entertaining, and the clash of egos was something to see. Annabel as the protagonist was great to witness. Yes, I know she was someone interested in money and wanted a husband who was among royalty, but well, give this girl a break.
She never hid who she was, nor her ambition, and her determined personality was something that attracted Simon, who unfortunately was not part of this select group of the aristocracy in London. But with his irresistible personality and his attempts to tempt and anger Annabel on a couple of occasions, their interactions became more intimate and close.
Their relationship was a whirlwind of emotions, a push and pull between the two, and their competitive and determined personalities made both want to achieve their goals, only that Annabel's goal was to get another man and Simon's was to get her.*
